Fundraising pack fact sheet
Points to remember on your fundraising pack:
-
Make it fun. People who want your pack need to be motivated.
-
Direct your pack at the right target market. E.g. have a runners pack,
an events pack etc. These can just have different inserts in them.
-
Make it as easy to read as possible.
-
Only put relevant information in. Hundreds of pieces of paper falling out
of an envelope just puts people off (send yourself one of your packs and
see what you think when it arrives at your home).
-
Make sure it is easy to make contact with the fundraiser. Naming people
always give the impression we are all working together - which of course
is true.
-
Make sure you cover any legalities. Often volunteer fundraisers are so
interested in making money for their charity that they do not understand
legal procedures. Keep to simple language.
Make sure the weight of your pack doesn't just move into the next postage
bracket, as it is expensive to send packs out all the time.
