3 TIPS FOR FUNDRAISERS
-
Brainstorm with colleagues and bring in volunteers too - make it a social
session. Often volunteers will be more sociable with each other if
they have some clear goals and someone to create leadership. Make
them feel part of the creation of a fundraising idea. (they may go
on to try something themselves).
-
Train your volunteers. This does not necessarily mean paying for
expensive external courses. Set up internal seminars where internal
colleagues talk about their own experiences.
-
See yourself as a fundraising consultant when you are visiting companies
- a person who is there to facilitate the fundraising potential of a company,
a person who is looking for a win-win situation for both the company and
the charity.
